The Welsh Assembly Government, in collaboration with Science Shops Wales and supported by key partners, is
facilitating a number of regional networks for community and Third sector groups, wanting to contribute to efforts to mitigate the effects of climate change.
The first series of the Community Action for Climate Change Networks will take place in Llangollen on 6th May, in Aberystwyth on 19th May and in Cardiff on 20th May 2009.

Engaging in this network could be really useful. I think we have a useful and unique perspective given that our interest in sustainability was initially motivated by ourĀ desire to provide effective social care into the future, and the most effective way of doing this is by working in a way which is environmentally and socially sustainable.
Ours is not a green agenda, but the most effective way of achieving our outcomes is by being green – this may be a very valuable story in supporting wider adoption of sustainable community action.
A member of the Assembly’s Climate change team has already expressed an interest in us sharing learning that may come out of Sustainable Lives as part of a futureĀ network meeting.
